La kinesiology, literally «science of movement», is much more than a simple muscle assessment method. It's a global approach that helps to restore the body's natural balance.’balancing body and mind, by identifying physical, emotional and energetic imbalances. Using muscle testing, it helps to release blockages, reduce stress and promote lasting well-being.

Understanding the foundations of Kinesiology

First developed in the United States in the 1960s, kinesiology has its roots in the chiropractic and the’osteopathy. Initially, it was used to assess patients' muscle strength. But it was thanks to the work of Dr George Goodheart, a chiropractor, that she took a completely different turn.

It highlights the link between muscles, organs, acupuncture meridians, and, above all, the relationship between emotional stress and muscle tone.

The facts are simple: our muscles react to our emotions and internal stresses. By observing these muscular variations, it becomes possible to identify the deep-seated imbalances that affect our health.

Kinesiology builds on this mind-body interaction to offer a holistic approach to well-being, combining energy techniques, body reflexes and emotional awareness.

Origins and development of the discipline

Building on the foundations laid by Goodheart, Dr John Thie In the 1970s, he published the famous book «Touch for Health, The aim of this book is to make the links between muscles, meridians, lymphatic and vascular reflex points accessible to the general public. This book is fast becoming an essential reference for kinesiologists the world over.

Kinesiology is based on one key principle: the different body systems (structural, chemical, energetic, emotional, digestive...) are interconnected. An emotional imbalance can therefore have an impact on the digestive system, just as physical tension can disturb the mind.

From the 1980s onwards, the muscle test becomes a genuine tool for dialogue with the body, enabling us to detect blockages and identify priority corrections to release tension, revive vital energy and support the process of ’healing".’self-healing.

The major currents that have enriched the discipline include :

Educational kinesiology or educational kinesiology Paul Dennison (creator of Brain Gym®)

Le Three in One Concept, developed by Gordon Stokes, Daniel Whiteside and Candace Callaway, which includes deep emotional work.

Key principles of holistic kinesiology

Kinesiology is based on two main principles:

  • The muscle test It is used as a biofeedback tool to assess the body's response to various stimuli (emotional memories, energy blockages, intolerances, etc.).
  • Active customer involvement No passive position here! The consultant participates fully in his or her own development process. They become aware of the link between their emotions, their behaviour and their symptoms.

Each session becomes a space for listening to the body. With the consent of the client's body, the practitioner detects the priorities to be rebalanced. Together, they observe variations in muscle tone and physiological responses, encouraging awareness and the release of tension.

  • Chronic fatigue

Emotional and mental benefits:
