Kinesiology in the canton of Vaud: release your blockages and find your balance again

Tension in the back of your neck that won't let go, restless sleep, a lump in your stomach before every Monday morning... What if your body was trying to tell you something? My name is Johanna, I'm kinesiologist qualified and ASCA-accredited, and I receive in my office in Gland, in the heart of the canton of Vaud. Sessions are also available by video, wherever you are.

My approach combines kinesiology, Bach Flower Remedies and emotional release techniques to help you untangle what's stuck - in your body and in your mind. There's no ready-made recipe: each session is built around you, your experiences and what your body is ready to release today.

Where can you practise kinesiology in the canton of Vaud?

JohKinésiologie: a practice based in the canton of Vaud

Before becoming a kinesiologist, I spent years looking for answers that no-one was giving me. Diffuse aches and pains, anxiety for no apparent reason, fatigue that neither tests nor specialists could explain. Kinesiology offered me a language for understanding what my body had been expressing for a long time. It was this experience that made me want to train and coach myself.

Today, I am trained in Health through touch, Brain Gym, One Brain, Wellness Kinesiology and Bach Flower Remedies. My approval ASCA guarantees you a recognised professional framework and opens the door to reimbursement by your complementary health insurance.

The firm is based in Gland, Rue du Perron 30, on the Lausanne-Geneva axis. Wherever you live in the canton, access is easy:

  • From Rolle or Nyon : 10 to 15 minutes by car, without touching the motorway
  • From Morges or Aubonne : about twenty minutes by road
  • From Lausanne : about 30 minutes by car or direct train (Gland stop)
  • From Yverdon or Vevey : 45 to 50 minutes - or opt for a video session
  • Remote : videoconference meetings for the whole canton and beyond

What I want for you is a space where you can put down your bags - without masks, without performance. A place where your body has the right to speak and where it's really listened to. All with kindness, openness and a touch of humour, because taking care of yourself doesn't have to be solemn.

The benefits of kinesiology for body and mind

Kinesiology is based on a simple principle: your body keeps a memory of everything you go through - physical shocks, repressed emotions, accumulated stress. Over time, these memories translate into tension, pain, fatigue and repetitive emotional patterns.

Thanks to the muscle test, The kinesiologist dialogues directly with the body to identify where these imbalances are located. Targeted corrective techniques (reflex points, eye movements, emotional releases, EFT, Brain Gym, etc.) are then used to restore the energy flow and boost your natural resources.

In practical terms, kinesiology helps you to :

  • Reduce chronic stress and regain lasting inner calm
  • Overcome fears, anger or sadness that keep coming back around again and again
  • Sleep better, without ruminations or waking up at night
  • Soothe physical pain that medicine cannot explain
  • Regain your self-confidence after a period of doubt or exhaustion
  • Going through a complex stage in your life: separation, retraining, bereavement, the arrival of a child, etc.
  • Helping children and teenagers to concentrate and manage their emotions

Kinesiology is never a substitute for medical treatment. It complements it by exploring what conventional medicine does not always address: the emotional and energetic dimension of your symptoms.

What happens during a session in Acorn?

No white coats or rigid protocols. Here's what you can expect:

1. A time for you - We sit down and have a chat. You tell me what brings you here, how you feel, what you'd like to see happen. It's a real moment of exchange, not an interrogation.

2. The muscle test - This is the central tool of kinesiology. By testing the tone of certain muscles, your body itself reveals the day's priorities. There's no need to analyse or guess: it guides the session.

3. Corrections - Depending on what emerges, I use different techniques: neuro-lymphatic points, Brain Gym movements, EFT, energy corrections or emotional releases. Each session is different, even for the same person.

4. Debriefing - We take stock together of what's happened, how you feel and what you've realised. I'll give you some ideas on how to continue the work at home if it's relevant.

Duration : first session ≈ 1h30 (in-depth assessment + corrections). Subsequent sessions ≈ 1h.

ℹ️ You don't need to be convinced for it to work. The muscle test responds regardless of your beliefs. Your body doesn't need your permission to know what it needs.

Check that the practitioner is ASCA or RME accredited This is the guarantee of serious training and the condition for your complementary health insurance to pay for the sessions.

How do I choose a good kinesiologist?

A good kinesiologist isn't just a diploma hanging on the wall. It's someone you feel safe with, who listens to you, and who doesn't force you to do anything. Here's what I advise you to check:

  • ASCA or RME accreditation : non-negotiable. This is the only guarantee of controlled training and is essential for reimbursement by your complementary health insurance.
  • Diversity of tools : a practitioner trained in several branches (Touch for Health, Brain Gym, One Brain...) will have more strings to his bow to adapt to your situation.
  • Experience with your type of problem: Stress, children, burn-out, chronic pain... Each kinesiologist has his or her own affinities. Don't hesitate to ask before you book.
  • First contact : trust your feelings. A call, a message or an e-mail exchange is often enough to know whether you feel at ease.
  • Accessibility : online booking, flexible opening times, videoconferencing... Practical details that make all the difference in the world.

Rates, reimbursements and mutual insurance

I believe in transparency. Here's how much a session at my practice costs:

ServiceRateDuration
Kinesiology - 1st sessionCHF 140.00Approximately 90 minutes
Kinesiology - next sessionCHF 120.00Approximately 60 minutes
Bye Bye Allergies - 1st sessionCHF 140.00Approximately 90 minutes
Bye Bye Allergies - nextCHF 100.00Approximately 50 minutes
Bach Flower Remedies (face-to-face or distance learning)CHF 70.00Approx. 30 min + vial

These amounts are in line with the average for the canton of Vaud (between CHF 100 and CHF 150 per session). How many appointments are required? It's impossible to say in advance: some customers leave transformed after just one session, while others prefer a follow-up over several weeks. We adapt together, as you evolve

Reimbursement by supplementary insurance

Kinesiology is not covered by the KVG/LAMal, but the majority of supplementary health insurance active in the canton of Vaud cover it as part of their alternative medicine packages. The main ones are Groupe Mutuel, Helsana, CSS, Assura, Visana and Sanitas. Condition: consult a practitioner ASCA or RME accredited.

This is my case - I'm ASCA recognised. After each session, I'll give you an invoice, which you can send to your insurer. The amount reimbursed depends on your policy: check your conditions or contact your insurance company to find out your annual ceiling.

Frequently asked questions about kinesiology in Geneva

Yes, I offer sessions by videoconference for people who can't travel to Gland. Remote kinesiology works using adapted muscle-testing techniques (self-testing or substitution testing). The results are just as relevant as in person, and this option is particularly suitable for regular follow-up or if you live in the Chablais, Gros-de-Vaud or Broye areas.

The first appointment lasts around 1h30 and includes a time for in-depth discussion about your background, your feelings and what's driving you. We don't jump straight into the corrections: we set your objective together. It's a moment of listening without judgement, which creates a bond of trust before your body speaks through the muscle test.

Burn-out is one of the most frequent reasons for visiting my practice. Kinesiology helps to identify the layers of accumulated stress - often well beyond the professional sphere - and to release them gradually. It helps to restore mental clarity, release the physical tension associated with exhaustion and restore a sense of inner security. It is an invaluable complement to medical or psychological treatment.

Osteopathy works primarily on the body's physical structures (bones, muscles, fascia) through manual manipulation. Kinesiology, on the other hand, explores the physical, emotional and energetic dimensions via muscle testing. The two are complementary: osteopathy treats a mechanical blockage, while kinesiology looks for the emotional or energetic cause of the blockage. Many of my clients combine the two approaches.

Most of the major supplementary health insurance companies operating in the canton (Groupe Mutuel, Helsana, CSS, Assura, Visana, Sanitas, among others) offer alternative medicine packages covering kinesiology, provided that the practitioner is ASCA or RME accredited. I am ASCA-recognised, which means you can apply for reimbursement. The amount covered depends on your policy: check with your insurer directly.

Absolutely. Kinesiology combines very well with osteopathy, naturopathy, acupuncture, psychotherapy and Bach Flower Remedies. In my practice, I use Bach Flower Remedies and the Bye Bye Allergies method as a complement when appropriate. Each approach brings a different perspective and enriches the rebalancing process.

Kinesiology is non-invasive and gentle - so there are no major contraindications. It is suitable for babies, children, pregnant women, the elderly and anyone in good health or recovering from illness. The only precaution: it never replaces medical advice. If you are undergoing treatment, kinesiology is a complement, not a substitute.

Everyone reacts differently. Many feel a sense of lightness, inner calm or renewed energy as soon as they leave. Emotions may also surface in the days that follow: this is a sign that the body is continuing its work of liberation. Some people notice a deeper sleep or an unusual clarity of mind. I recommend that you take some quiet time after the session to let the process sink in.

Your well-being can't wait

You don't have to carry it all alone. You don't have to wait for it to pass. Sometimes one session is all it takes to unblock something that has seemed stuck for months. Give yourself that time.
